Sean P. Wojcik, Ph.D.

I’m an AI technologist and data scientist with 15+ years of experience at the intersection of AI, advanced analytics, and behavioral science. 

I'm currently a Staff AI Engineer at Rula, where I develop AI systems to support one of the nation's largest behavioral health platforms.  Previously, I was the Founding AI Engineer at EasyMate AI and a Staff Data Scientist at Axios and Axios HQ, where I built AI-powered systems to make people "smarter, faster" about news that matters.  I've also taught advanced analytics at Columbia, and I spent several years combining social science and data science with the Gates Foundation at Upworthy to help make stories about global health, poverty, and other "things that matter" reach millions of people.

I've published scientific papers on decision-making processes related to media, politics, morality, health, and well-being, while advocating for the use of "Big Data" analytics to improve psychological science.  

My doctoral dissertation was published in Science, and you can read about my scientific research from the New York Times, the LA Times, the Washington Post, US News & World Report, FiveThirtyEight, and Time, among other outlets.

Outside of my work and academic interests, I'm also a soccer dad, a dog enthusiast, a mediocre poker player, and a pizza aficionado.
